Bannana Split Cake

1 16 ounce package vanilla wafers
1 cup margarine
1 20 ounce can crushed pineapple (drained)
6 bannanas
1 8 ounce package cream cheese
2 cups confectioners sugar
1 12 ounce container Cool Whip
1/4 cup chopped walnuts
10 maraschino cherries



Crush vanilla wafers while melting margerine in skillet or microwave. Combine crushed wafers and margerine and pat into the bottom of a 9 x 13 inch baking pan. Beat confectioners sugar and cream cheese together until light and fluffy and then spread over the vanilla wafer crust. Spoon pineapple evenly over the top. Then layers sliced bannanas over the pineapple. Cover with Cool Whip and sprinkle top with walnuts and cherries.

Chill until ready to serve.
